Rod Bushnell

Rod has spent his entire career in the building industry, beginning in the Chicago area, where he specialized in building and installing custom staircases. Over the years, he expanded his expertise and established successful businesses in commercial development and custom homebuilding.

In 2012, Rod and his wife, Lisa, moved to Marco Island, bringing his exceptional craftsmanship, distinctive building style, and passion for quality construction to Southwest Florida. Since then, he has earned a reputation as one of Marco Island’s premier custom home builders, known for creating one-of-a-kind luxury residences tailored to each client’s vision and lifestyle.

Rod takes pride in making every home truly custom, from the personalized experience he provides with each client to the thoughtful details that define every design. His commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and individualized service is reflected in every home he builds.

Lisa Bushnell

For more than 14 years, Lisa Bushnell has helped clients transform their vision of a dream home into beautifully curated living spaces. With extensive hands-on experience in custom home interior selections, furnishings, and design guidance, Lisa brings a discerning eye, refined aesthetic, and genuine passion for creating homes that are as distinctive as the people who live in them. Her expertise encompasses the elements that define a home's interior character—from cabinetry, natural stone, flooring, and architectural finishes to lighting, plumbing fixtures, furniture, and the finishing details that bring a space together. With a thoughtful appreciation for proportion, texture, color, and quality craftsmanship, Lisa guides clients through the design process, helping them make confident selections that create a cohesive, sophisticated, and timeless result. Complementing her design expertise is an accomplished career in luxury real estate. Nationally recognized by RealTrends Verified among the country's leading real estate professionals, Lisa has earned some of RE/MAX's highest honors, including the Diamond, Titan, Chairman's, and Platinum Club awards. She also holds the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation and Million Dollar Guild recognition.

Diana Gangl

Joining the AQUA team in 2023 as Project Manager, Diana enjoys guiding homeowners through every stage of the building process, from permitting to completion. She takes pride in creating a smooth, positive experience for each client, combining attention to detail, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to bringing their vision to life.

As a Naples native, Diana has a strong connection to the community and firsthand knowledge of the local building process. Her background in public service has shaped her compassionate, solution-oriented approach, allowing her to navigate challenges with empathy and care. She also holds a master’s degree from Unity Environmental University and values continued learning and personal growth. For Diana, every home is an opportunity to build lasting relationships and deliver the quality and craftsmanship that define AQUA Custom Homes.

Project Manager

Herminio Benitez

Our Field Project Manager, Herminio, brings over 20 years of experience across various construction trades. His extensive construction knowledge and hands-on experience bring valuable attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the project is completed to the highest standards. With strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality, Herminio helps ensure that each AQUA Custom Home is completed efficiently, on schedule, and with the level of excellence our clients expect.

Field Project Manager

Dave Goss

Dave joined the Aqua Team in 2024, shortly after he and his wife Kayla relocated to Marco Island from Naperville, IL, where they raised their three adult children

Prior to joining the Aqua Team, Dave most recently served as the GM/CFO at Imperial Zinc Corp. in Chicago.

Though his entire career has been spent in manufacturing in upper management, he does find some similarities and enjoys contributing to something different than what he has done in the past.

He is a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. In his free time he enjoys boating, and spending time with his family, and their Fur Babies Dawson and Ivy.

Controller

Michelle Benitez

Michelle supports various aspects of AQUA Custom Homes, including selection coordination, customer work orders, and project management support. She assists with scheduling, maintaining project records, and coordinating day-to-day project activities. She also leads the company’s digital presence and marketing initiatives, helping showcase the quality and craftsmanship behind every AQUA home. A recent graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Michelle brings a strong passion for learning, organization, and continuous growth. Her bright personality and genuine enthusiasm make her a valuable addition to the AQUA team.
